Bishop Shanklin has served in the ministry for over 25 years. In 2013, he completed 19 years of pastoral ministry leading the people of New Life Fellowship International Ministries into a Safe Place for Loving God, People, and Vision.

Bishop Abraham Shanklin, Jr. is passionate about serving Christ and leading others to Him. An anointed and gifted teacher, preacher, motivational speaker and leader, Bishop Shanklin is known for his down-to-earth and realistic approach to inspiring people.

Bishop Shanklin helps to honor those who disciple the people of God. He teaches the principles of how you can reach out and builds character and confidence, while expanding the Kingdom Agenda and navigating a path to success. He is committed to mentoring and releasing both men and women into their Kingdom callings.

Having received his education from the Chesapeake Theological and Andersonville Theological Seminaries, Bishop Shanklin holds two advanced degrees with a Doctorate in Theology. Bishop Shanklin, a recipient of many certificates, honors and awards, has also attended many conferences, retreats, and conventions for continued education.

Called by God under the vision to build and rebuild the lives of the Lord’s people, Bishop Shanklin founded New Life Fellowship International Ministries on February 27, 1994. The church has implemented ministry outreaches that have impacted the region, country, and even the world. The ministry has become a safe place for loving God, loving people, and loving vision through its progressive approach to kingdom impact.

Stemming from his many roles as a minister and civic leader, Dr. Shanklin has field experience in missions, prison, radio, and hospital ministries. He continues to conduct, organize, and lead teaching in the areas of personal, church, and leadership development. He has also served on the staff of the New Hope Bible Crusade College & Seminary of Baltimore, MD, as an instructor in Systematic Theology. He is currently an adjunct professor for the Chesapeake Bible College and Seminary. He also serves as Dean of Kingdom Building Bible Institute, a fully accredited distance learning center for Chesapeake Bible College.

Bishop Shanklin currently serves as the 2nd Assitant to the Presinding Bishop of the Global Harvest Covenant Network, Phoenix, AZ. And he also currently serves as the President of the United Christian Clergy Alliance of Anne Arundel County. This clergy organization in Anne Arundel County is comprised of clergy crossing interdenominational and racial lines to help build bridges in the community.

Bishop Shanklin also a member of many community groups and organizations. He has been instrumental in the shape of key documents impacting the local school system. Also, has helped to bridge the gap in many civic and local government activities.

Bishop Shanklin and his wife of 28 years, the former Ingrid K. Palmore currently reside in Hanover, MD. They have four children and together they model the dignity and sanctity of the home.
